Saitama: For a second consecutive 2017 AFC Champions League tie, Urawa Red Diamonds’ attack put their opponents’ defence to the sword in a 5-2 win over FC Seoul on Tuesday at Saitama Stadium.

Having thrashed Australia's Western Sydney Wanderers 4-0 on Matchday One, the Japanese side needed little time to get going against the Korean visitors with Yuki Muto and Tadanari Lee scoring within the opening 11 minutes.

Park Chu-young did net the game’s best goal just three minutes later with a stunning free-kick for the away side but Takahiro Sekine, Tomoya Ugajin and Yoshiaki Komai added to Urawa’s tally as an astonishing first half finished 5-1.

With such a goal-filled first 45 minutes, it came as something of a surprise that the second period needed stoppage time to find the game’s seventh with FC Seoul substitute Dejan Damjanovic shortening the final deficit to three goals on the 92nd minute.
