AFC Futsal Instructors inspired to set new benchmarks across the Continent

Kuala Lumpur: In a bid to harness the ever-growing popularity of futsal, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) concluded the AFC Futsal Train the Trainers Coaching Instructors Selection Course 2023 on Saturday in the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur. 

The six-day long programme saw instructors and coaches from 19 Member Associations (MAs) undergo extensive physical training while also partaking in informative classroom sessions, during the course of which, they received updates on the AFC’s latest initiatives in Futsal.

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Futsal Train the Trainers Coaching Instructors Selection Course 2023 commenced today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, further underlining the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s committed efforts towards raising the futsal standards of its Member Associations (MAs).

With the objective of training and identifying future instructors for elite, zonal and local levels, the program will see 19 participants from as many MAs assemble over the next five days to learn the latest trends and best practices in futsal from some of the most Renowned Instructors on the Continent.

AIFF introduces Futsal for All initiative to promote the sport across India

New Delhi: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) organised the “Futsal for All” initiative, comprising fun filled activities, small-sided games and workshops, to increase participation and awareness of the sport across the country. 

Spread over several Indian states, as many as 3,415 participants, along with 314 volunteers had the opportunity to play in 5v5 games as well as join other initiatives promoting futsal.

FFTL hosts landmark futsal coaching course

Dili: The Federacao Futebol de Timor-Leste (FFTL) organised the first-ever AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course that was attended by 20 professional coaches from June 13 to 18. 

The course, aimed at strengthening futsal development, was officiated by FFTL President Francisco Jeronimo, FFTL General Secretary Gregorio Correia and FFTL acting Technical Director Gaspar Quintão Da Silva.

CTFA underlines commitment to strengthen futsal development

Taichung: The Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) successfully conducted a six-day AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course at the Taichung City Dongshi Stadium in May, which marked the latest initiative to further develop the sport.

The course was presented by main instructor Yung-Sheng Chen and assistant instructor Hsiang-Hsing Liu, both of whom introduced the sport's structure and the basic futsal coaching technics as well as the role of futsal in developing players’ skills and abilities.

LFA organises AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course

Beirut: The Lebanese Football Association (LFA) underlined its commitment to further improve futsal coaching in the country by organising the AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course at the Al Kawthar Sports Complex from May 6 to 14, 2022.

The nine-day course was presented by main instructor Dory Zakhour and assistant instructor Rabie El Kakhi, who is also a certified AFC Goalkeeping Instructor.

20th AFC Futsal Coaching Qualification Course Level 1 held in Korea Republic

Jeonju: The Korea Football Association (KFA) and the Korea Futsal Federation (KFF) successfully organised an AFC Futsal Coaching Qualification Course Level 1 in Jeonju that ended today. 

The six-day course was attended by national futsal team players Chun Jin-Woo and Lee Seun-Woo and alongside Korean Football League (KFL) players Lim Oh-kuy, Koo Jeong-gyo and Han Hyo-seung as well as professors who majored in football and futsal coaches.
 
This is the 20th time the AFC Futsal Coaching Qualification Course Level 1 was organised in the country, underlining KFA’s commitment to further improve futsal coaching in Korea Republic. 
 
The course which covered various topics related to futsal coaching was conducted by AFC elite instructor Lee Young-jin and national futsal team coach and assistant instructor Lee Sang-jin.

FFIRI host the third AFC Futsal Fitness Coaching Certificate Course Level 1

Tehran: The Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) organised the third AFC Futsal Fitness Coaching Certificate Course Level 1 for 20 participants which concluded on Tuesday.

Conducted by the AFC Futsal Fitness Instructor Sadegh Amani-Shalamzari and assisted by Pezhman Motamedi from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the six-day course covered various practical activities and theoretical lessons.
 
Fitness coaches working in the Futsal Premier League and other divisions of futsal leagues and two participants with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree as well as four Masters of Sciences (MSc) graduates joined the course.
 
AFC Futsal Instructors Naser Saleh, Abolgsasem Arefian and Michel Petros underlined the importance of fitness in futsal development in the opening ceremony that was attended by Kamran Amiri, the Executive Member of the Football Federation Education Committee, Yousef Shahi, the Chairman of the Southwest Tehran Football Association and Mohsen Khabiri, the Head of the Southwest Tehran Education Committee.

AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate Course Level 1 concludes in Myanmar

Mandalay: The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) continued to strengthen the futsal development across the country following the conclusion of the AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate Course Level 1 on Saturday.

A total of 20 participants, including several international players, took part in the six-day course which covered both practical and theoretical sessions.
 
The course was conducted by the AFC Futsal Instructor Bunlert Charoenwong from Thailand and assisted by Htay Myint and Tin Maung Htay from the MFF.
 
MFF Executive members, the Myanmar Ministry of Sports and Youth Affair representatives, futsal club officials attended the opening ceremony while MFF Executive Committee member and Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee Chairperson Dr. Ye Mon Htut highlighted the futsal growth in Myanmar in his opening speech.

LFA successfully organises Futsal Coaching Certificate Course Level 2

Beirut: The Lebanese Football Association (LFA) strengthened its commitment to raise the level of futsal coaches after the successful completion of the Futsal Coaching Certificate Course Level 2 on Sunday. 

A total of 19 aspiring coaches attended the seven-day course which was conducted by instructor Hussein Dib and assisted by Dr. Nadim Nassif at the Al Kawthar High School in Beirut.

In his opening address, LFA President Hachem Haidar encouraged participants to make full use of the course while adding that futsal in the country has a bright future with the new generation of futsal players and coaches.

SAFF organises first-ever futsal coaching course for women

Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) organised the first-ever AFC Women’s Futsal Level 1 Coaching course to develop potential women futsal coaches in the country.

A total of 18 participants joined the course which was led by course coordinator Lamia Al Fares and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Instructor Rajaa Chatah of Lebanon.

The course, which was held at the Princess Noura Binth Abdul Rahman University, focussed on providing participants with important futsal knowledge and tactics during the six-day course.

PSSI conducts AFC Futsal Level 2 Coaching Certificate course

Bandung: The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) organised an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Level 2 Coaching Certificate to raise the standards of the country’s futsal coaches and to improve the quality of the sport.

Chairman of PSSI Province of West Java Tommy Apriantono welcomed the 19 participants during the opening ceremony before AFC Instructors Andri Irawan and Efraim Ferdinand conducted the seven-day course.

To comply with the strict health protocols put in place by the Indonesia COVID-19 Task Force, all participants and instructors were tested for COVID-19 before the course commenced.
