Mongolia's Tsedenbal scores first goal of Asian Qualifiers

Ulaanbaatar: Mongolia captain Tsedenbal Norjmoo has the honour of scoring the first goal of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 Preliminary Joint Qualification.

Tsedenbal found the back of the net in the ninth minute in the first leg tie against Brunei Darussalam as Mongolia went on to register a 2-0 win at the MFF Stadium in Ulaanbaatar.

In other Asian Qualifiers matches on Thursday, Cambodia defeated Pakistan 2-0 while Macau edged Sri Lanka 1-0. Malaysia will play Timor-Leste in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

The winners of the six Round One ties will advance to the second round, where they will be joined by 34 other Asian sides.
