Al Jebreen full of praise for Rui Vitoria's tactics
Riyadh: Al Nassr midfielder Abdulaziz Al Jebreen hailed coach Rui Vitoria for his selections in the side’s 3-1 victory over UAE’s Al Wasl on Matchday Five of the 2019 AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
The Portuguese opted to rest talisman Abdelrazaq Hamdallah, Australian goalkeeper Brad Jones and both starting full-backs Abdulrahman Al Obaid and Sultan Al Ghannam for the encounter as Al Nassr try to balance their pursuit of a knockout stage berth with a domestic league title race that is reaching its climax.
The Riyadh-based side were still able to dominate from start to finish and cruise to a 3-1 win, with Giuliano netting his third of the campaign before youngster Fahad bin Jumayah broke his AFC Champions League duck and Abdullah Al Salim rounded off the scoring with his second this season.

“A top team must have a full squad of players, ready to step up and deliver when called upon,” said Al Jebreen.
“I would like to commend the coach for the confidence he gave to everyone in the squad, including the youngsters. It is true that some players may get less playing time than others, but if you keep training hard, you will look good on the pitch when your chance arrives."
Having started the 2019 AFC Champions League with back-to-back defeats, Al Nassr turned a corner, winning their subsequent three fixtures to book their place in the Round of 16 with a game to spare.
“It was a deserved victory. We were fully focused going into the game and tried to implement the coach’s instructions as much as we could to get the three points.
“We showed character and a desire to win. As players, we complete one another. every one of us worked hard for the team and fought for his teammates. That helped us a lot."
