Osaka: Cerezo Osaka will look to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Buriram United last week when the sides pair off again in Group G of the AFC Champions League at Yanmar Nagai Stadium on Wednesday.

Andres Tunez and Edgar scored the goals as Buriram ended a run of eight games without a win on the continent to leapfrog Cerezo into second place in the standings ahead of the return meeting in Japan.

The loss was Cerezo’s first of the campaign – after defeating Jeju United in their opening game before drawing with Guangzhou Evergrande – and saw them drop from top to third in the group.

Cerezo go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Kashiwa Reysol in the J.League at the weekend, while Buriram drew 2-2 with Bangkok United to remain top of the Thai League 1.

The visitors will be without the suspended Jakkaphan Kaewprom for the Matchday Four clash after the midfielder’s dismissal last week, but will welcome back Brazilian Diogo after the striker served his one-match ban.
