Osaka: Cerezo Osaka will look to make it two wins from two in Group G of the AFC Champions League when they welcome Guangzhou Evergrande to Yanmar Stadium Nagai on Wednesday.

The Japanese side appeared to be heading for a scoreless draw away at Jeju United last week but Kota Mizunuma capitalised on a mix-up in the opposition defence to tap home in the 93rd minute to ensure the visitors left with all three points.

Two-time winners Guangzhou, meanwhile, had the better of their opening game with Buriram United but, after Ricardo Goulart had given them an early lead, could only manage a 1-1 draw as the Thai side grabbed an equaliser just before the hour.

Guangzhou’s only previous game with Cerezo in Osaka came in the 2014 Round of 16 when the Chinese team posted a resounding 5-1 victory to all but secure their place in the quarter-finals, although they have not won on their past four trips to Japan.
