Altawail proud of Thai Son Nam’s fighting spirit
Yogyarta: Abdulrahman Altawail was the hero for Thai Son Nam, when he scored a last-gasp winner against Al Dhafra in their Group B tie at the AFC Futsal Club Championship Indonesia 2018 on Sunday.
In an exciting tie, Thai Son Nam led 2-0 at halftime but a spirited fightback by Al Dhafra in the second half saw them draw level.
The Vietnamese side then went ahead 3-2 in the 36th minute only for the Emiratis to draw level again a minute later.
With three minutes to go at the Gor Amongrogo, Thai Son Nam were staring at elimination as a draw would have sent Al Dhafra second on points and through to the Knockout Stage but Altawail had other ideas.

“It was a tough game against Al Dhafra. We were leading by two goals but they came back fighting and made it very difficult for us in the second half,” said Altawail.
