Afghanistan-Tajikistan - AFC U-20 Futsal qualifying (2)

Tashkent: Afghanistan secured a comprehensive 4-1 win over Tajikistan in the AFC U20 Futsal Championship 2019 Central Zone play-off on Tuesday.

Due to 2019 hosts Islamic Republic of Iran's participation in the Qualifiers, and also finishing as Group A winners, meant both Afghanistan and Tajikistan are through to the Finals to complete Central Zone's three slot allocation.

Afghanistan took early control of the game and went ahead through Seyed Hossein Mousavi’s brace in the 12th and 16th minutes to take a 2-0 lead into half-time.

Abdul Razaq Momrak’s side continued to pressure their opponents in the second half and scored their third goal after Farzad Mahmoodi found the net nine minutes after the restart.

Tajikistan conceded another five minutes before the final whistle after Hamid Reza Hossaini beat goalkeeper Sirojiddin Husaynov to put Afganistan 4-0 up.

However, seconds later Nasikhov Eradzh’s charges grabbed a consololation through Rabijon Rabiev.

Afghanistan and Tajikistan join the likes of Islamic Republic of Iran, Kyrgyz Republic, Japan and Chinese Taipei in the confirmed cast so far for the AFC U-20 Futsal Championship next year.
