Phnom Penh: Vietnam clinched top spot in the 2019 AFF U22 Cup Group A after playing to a 0-0 draw with Thailand at the National Olympic Stadium on Thursday.
The eagerly anticipated tie failed to sizzle as both teams made a handful of changes to the starting line-up.
And in the end, the game did not sparkle enough for a change to the scoreline although several yellow cards were flashed by Cambodian referee Khoun Virak.

Phnom Penh: Cambodia marched into the semi-finals of the 2019 AFF U22 Cup following a 2-0 win over Myanmar in a Group B tie at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh on Wednesday.
Malaysia, meanwhile, fought back to force a 2-2 draw with Indonesia to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
Malaysia's fate, however, is out of their hands as even a win over Myanmar on Friday will not be enough for them to advance should Indonesia, who have two points, defeat Cambodia in their final group stage match.
Malaysia, who lost 1-0 to Cambodia in their opening match, only have a point. The regional tournament is the last phase of preparation for the teams ahead of the March Qualifiers for the 2020 AFC U23 Championship.

Phnom Penh: Vietnam and Thailand advanced to the semi-finals of the 2019 AFF Under-22 Championship with resounding wins in Group A at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
Vietnam defeated Timor-Leste 4-0 while Thailand beat Philippines 3-0 and the two winners will now meet on Thursday to decide the group winners as the ASEAN sides build-up to the 2020 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers next month.
TIMOR-LESTE 0-4 VIETNAM
The odds were always stacked against Timor-Leste, especially when they were playing under pressure following their 1-0 loss to Thailand in their opening match on Sunday.
The Timorese, however, started on a determined note against a Vietnamese side out to prove themselves after having struggled in their 2-1 win over the Philippines on Matchday One.
A defensive lapse in the first half almost allowed Timor-Leste to score but that failure gave Vietnam the chance to pour forward and in the 40th minute, they grabbed the lead when striker Tran Danh Trung capitalised on miscommunication to put the ball away.

Incheon: Head coach Park Hang-seo is determined to lead Vietnam to more glory and history after a year of highs for the Southeast Asian nation.
After an amazing 2018 and a brilliant start to 2019, Korea Republic's Park has already identified his next target - qualifying for the 2020 AFC U23 Championship Thailand and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Park kicked off his Vietnamese adventure by guiding the Young Golden Dragons to a runners-up finish in the 2018 AFC U23 Championship and followed that up by a semi-final appearance in the 2018 Asian Games Indonesia.
The senior side then brushed aside all challengers to lift the 2018 AFF Cup and continued their run by qualifying for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 quarter-finals and Vietnam fans are, understandably, expecting more highs.
