AFC Women’s Asian Cup Jordan 2018 ticket sales launched
Amman: Ticket sales for Asia’s flagship women’s national team competition, the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Jordan 2018, have started today.
Some of the world's top female footballers will battle it out for the crown of Asia when the Finals kick off on April 6 - just 30 days away - in Jordan’s historical capital city Amman.
The eight teams competing for continental glory represent some of the world's leading women's football countries and the incredible variety of the Asian continent - and beyond: China PR, reigning champions Japan, Korea Republic, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and Australia who will cover the biggest distance to travel to the Finals will join hosts Jordan in Amman as the competition starts on Friday, April 6. The final will be played on April 20 at 20:00 local time.

AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa said: “This year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup Jordan 2018 will be a historic occasion for all football fans. The AFC is proud to see our flagship women’s competition for the first time in West Asia, in Jordan.
“The level of the competition will be world class, as the AFC’s women’s teams compete at the highest levels internationally: four of the eight teams in the competition consistently make the world’s top 20 rankings and they include a former world champion, Japan.
“The AFC Women's Asian Cup Jordan 2018 will bring together the East and West, from Australia to Jordan, and it will offer top-class football moments which are not to be missed.”
In addition to continental glory, five places are up for grabs for the teams for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.
President of the Local Organising Committee Prince Ali bin Hussein said: “On behalf of the Jordanian football family, I would like to welcome all participating teams to Jordan. We are determined to deliver a tournament of the highest standards that will bring Asia’s top women’s teams together in the region for the very first time in history.”
Local Organising Committee Tournament Director Farah Badarneh said: “We are looking to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience to spectators from the moment they purchase the ticket until they leave the stadium, through offering a wide range of packages, various payment methods, and high standard ticketing services.”

The tickets are available to buy online at http://www.wacjordan2018.com. The ticket prices are affordable in order to allow as wide as possible access to fans and the locals to world-class women’s football.
Tickets are available in four categories: premium and categories 1-3, with the opening match tickets starting from 25 Jordanian dinars (JOD). Tickets in category 3 are priced the lowest and are available for 1 JOD.
On double-header match days one ticket will be valid for both matches taking place at the same stadium. Corporate, school and group ticket packages are also available.
