The midfielder returned to a hero's welcome as her coach and teammates lauded her for winning the AFC Women's Player of the Year award.
Wang Shuang, however, said the award was not just hers.
"I think the award arrives at the right time, and it's a huge boost not just for me but the whole Chinese team. All of us are confident of playing well at next year's World Cup in France."
Wang Shuang, 23, has enjoyed excellent form since joining PSG, with three goals to her name in league.
She admitted she had been hopeful of winning the Player of the Year award based on her form for club and country.
"I felt nervous and happy when I heard my name for the award. I had thought that I might win the award, but I was not quite sure if my achievements at the Asian Cup, Asian Games and after joining PSG could earn recognition from the AFC," admitted Wang Shuang.
"It was not the same emotion compared with that when I heard about my nomination. I had been quite relaxed and just thought about attending the ceremony and feeling the atmosphere then," Wang Shuang, the fourth Chinese footballer to win the award, said.
It is, however, back to business for her with PSG playing Soyaux-Charente on Saturday.
And there is also the draw for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup on December 8 to look forward to with Wang Shuang and China PR determined to impress in France next June.
