Kuala Lumpur: AFC has expressed concerns over the match-fixing issue which came to light in Vietnam.

AFC adopts a zero tolerance policy towards match-fixing and the confederation will provide its full support to the Vietnam Football Federation in its investigation.

AFC will wait for the report of the investigation which is being carried out by the VFF and the authorities in Vietnam before deciding its next course of action.

The AFC Cup regulations have clear provisions (Article 29 c) of the AFC Cup 2014 Competition regulations) to deal with the matters of a team’s withdrawal midway through the competition.
