Doha: Newly elected FIFA Executive Committee member Vernon Manilal Fernando of Sri Lanka has promised to work for the betterment of Asian football.
Doha: AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam addressed the AFC Congress on Thursday here in the capital of Qatar. He addressed and spoke on several issues even while listing the many achievements of the confederation under his leadership since 2002.

Mohamed Bin Hammam was on Thursday confirmed as AFC President for a third term after being elected unopposed at the 24th AFC Congress.
