Duke leaves Machida to join Macarthur

Kuala Lumpur: Australia striker Mitchell Duke has signed for AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ participants Macarthur FC after announcing his departure from Japan’s FC Machida Zelvia on Saturday.

The 34-year-old confirmed his three-year spell with the J1 League outfit had come to an end in a post on social media before A-League outfit Macarthur revealed the former Central Coast Mariners and Shimizu S-Pulse forward would be making a return to Australia.

Kuala Lumpur: The remaining 16 teams in the AFC Champions League Two™ (ACL Two) 2025/26 will discover their Knockout Stage opponents on December 30 (Tuesday) at 3pm at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.

Eight teams each from the West and East successfully progressed from the Group Stage, which concluded on Wednesday, to seal their Round of 16 berths in the 21st edition of the Continent’s second-tier men’s tournament and keep their hopes of glory alive.

Victory for Sharjah meant continental glory for the first time as well as a ticket to the AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™.
