Incheon: Hosts Korea Republic are dumped out of the ongoing 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games after suffering a 5-3 defeat by Kuwait with Abdulrahman Al Mosabehi grabbing four goals alone.
The FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012 participants won all the three matches of Group A to top the table. Besides Mosabehi’s four goals heroic, Abdulrahman Al Wadi also scored a goal for the winners. Hong Kong and Macau were held 2-2 to earn their first point in the tournament.
The hosts started the match promisingly with Kim Min-kuk finding the net in the 7th minute. A minute after Kim’s goal, Mosabehi scored his first goal of the match before finding second after four minutes to put the Kuwaitis 2-1 up. Al Wadi’s 17th minute strike made it 3-1.
The Koreans reduced the deficit by 3-2 in the 21st minute after Mosabehi scored again – this time in his own net – but he amended the mistake by putting Kuwait 4-2 ahead in the 22nd minute to complete his hattrick.
Lee Jung-won and Masabehi scored a piece in the 27th but no more goals were scored in the later part of the match as it ended 5-3 in favour of Kuwait.
