KUALA LUMPUR – The AFC has confirmed that the 2008 AFC Awards and 2008 AFC Women’s Awards will be held in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur respectively.

A delegation from the AFC will meet with Shanghai government officials to finalise the venue of the prestigious event, which has been scheduled to take place on November 25.

In 2007 the AFC became the first FIFA member confederation to have a separate award ceremony for Women’s football and the second edition of the unique event has been slated for November 20.
