KUALA LUMPUR – Bahrain side Al Najma has been asked to provide all the necessary documentation relating to the MOU (memorandum of understanding) on the professional contracts of players or risk expulsion from this year’s AFC Cup.
By signing the MOU, clubs agree to follow tournament regulations that stipulate their players are on professional contracts that last a minimum of six months.
Al Najma, who qualified to this year’s AFC Cup by winning the 2006/07 King’s Cup, are scheduled to take on Omani side Al Nahda in their Group C opener on March 11.
