 |
| AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam |
DOHA – AFC President Mohamed bin Hammam was back in his homeland of Qatar recently to meet with officials from the Qatar Football Association (QFA), spearheading the AFC’s Professional League Committee.
Bin Hammam, who was previously President of the QFA and of seven-time national champions Al Rayyan, held discussions with current QFA President HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani focussing primarily on the criteria for being part of the AFC’s Professional League.
“The QFA is keen to meet all the requirements set by the Committee,” Sheikh Hamad said at a press conference on Monday.
“Qatar has all the sporting facilities required to participate in the AFC Professional League and we are looking to make the clubs commercial entities which is a necessary criteria.”
