| Uzbeks honoured by Festival first |

TASHKENT – Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) President Mirabror Usmanov said that he was honoured Uzbekistan was chosen to host the first AFC U-14 Festival of Football in Central Asia, which kicked-off in Tashkent on Tuesday.
“The Asian Football Confederation gave us the honour to hold the AFC U-14 Festival among the teams of four Central Asian countries. The youngest players of these four countries [Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan] will play matches in Tashkent.
“Who knows, may be in several years some of them will become national heroes.
“Teaching and taking care of a healthy generation is one of the critical aims of our country and the UFF pays special attention to the development of grassroots.
“And for us it’s a great honour that Asian Football Confederation is paying great attention to the development of football in our country.”
