| AFC Cup: Ansar, Safa games put off |
KUALA LUMPUR: The AFC Cup 2008 Match Day 6 games of Lebanese clubs Al Ansar and Safa FC on May 14 have been postponed due to the security situation in the West Asian country.
The final group games next Wednesday would have seen Al Ansar travelling to Manama to play Al Muharraq, while Safa were scheduled to play Al Wihdat of Jordan in Beirut, Lebanon.
Al Ansar are level with leaders Al Muharraq on eight points in Group A but trailing on goal difference. Dempo SC of India are third with seven points followed by Sur of Oman on four points.
Al Safa lead Group B with nine points, followed by East Bengal of India on seven points while Jordan’s Al Wihdat are a point further back. Ahly Sana of Yemen bring up the rear with three points.
