KUALA LUMPUR: Football Association of Thailand (FAT) President Dato’ Worawi Makudi has expressed confidence in Vision Thailand project saying it will help in developing the game in his country.
Speaking during the opening of a two-day Vision Thailand workshop on Monday, Makudi, who is also the AFC Executive Committee member, said: “AFC wants to develop the member associations through this project and we would like to utilize this opportunity to our benefit.”
“Vision Asia team was very helpful during the assessment process and we need their expertise to develop the game,” he added.
AFC Assistant General Secretary and Director of Education, Hassan Al Sabah said that experience of Vision Asia team will help in finalising the strategic development plan for this ASEAN country.
The FAT delegation expressed their desire in restructuring the administration, finalising the composition of Chonburi Provincial League, introduction of Club Licensing System, a structured system for schools and youth competition, refereeing and coach education et al.
FAT Vice-President Chaichok Poompuang, Treasurer Dr Kasom Chanawongse, Assistant General Secretary Thara Pluck Chaoom, goalkeeping instructor Chaiyong Khumpiam and executive committee member Maj. Gen. Titiwat Kamlang-Ek are part of the visiting delegation.
Representatives from Chonburi province, headed by Chief Executive of Provincial Administrative Organisation of Chonburi Vitaya Khunplome, will join the workshop on Tuesday.
