ABU DHABI – Brazilian striker André Dias has left 2008 AFC Champions League qualifiers Al Wasl to join inaugural ACL champions Al Ain.
"I had a lot of offers from clubs in Brazil and other clubs in the region but I was happy with Al Ain's offer especially because they are ambitious and want to win titles,” the 27-year-old, who was on loan at Al Wasl from Vasco da Gama, told Al Ain’s official website.
André Dias appeared in five of Al Wasl’s six AFC Champions League 2008 matches, netting the equaliser in the 2007 UAE double-winners’ 1-1 draw with eventual group winners Saipa, and was also the Dubai side’s top scorer last season with 14 goals.
