ABU DHABI – Al Jazira coach Abel Braga has once again looked to his native Brazil to reinforce his side ahead of the forthcoming UAE Professional League with the signing of Fernando Baiano.
The 29-year-old striker joins the ambitious Abu Dhabi outfit from Real Murcia, who were relegated to Spain’s second division, and follows the recent signing of compatriot Marcinho.
Marcinho, who celebrated his 24th birthday on Sunday, was the joint top-scorer in the 2008 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A with seven goals for Flamengo before opting to leave the five-time Brazilian national champions for Al Jazira.
