| AFC U-19 Women’s C'ship qualifiers draw on July 31 |
KUALA LUMPUR: The draw for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship qualifiers will be held at the AFC House on July 31, 2008.
Defending champions DPR Korea, runners-up Japan and third-placed China have been given direct entry into the tournament proper to be played next year.
Twelve teams will be divided into two groups of six each. Top two teams from each group and the best runners-up team will qualify for the Finals.
Korea Republic, Australia, Thailand, Myanmar, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, India, Jordan and Singapore will be seeded in the draw based on their performances in the previous edition of the competition while new entrants Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Philippines will remain unseeded.
