| Al Qadsia’s camp in Egypt ends |

CAIRO: Al Qadsia’s 19-day training camp in Egypt to prepare for their AFC Champions League quarter-finals against Asian champions Urawa Reds ended on Thursday.
The Kuwaiti outfit played six friendly games during the training period in which they won two against Egyptian second division side Asmat Al Sweis 2-1 and Kuwait’s Al Tadamoun 3-0.
They drew with second division club Al Nasr goalless and lost the remaining three games to first division outfits El Terasanah and Petrojet by the similar 3-1 scoreline and second division side Al Shams 2-0.
Both their goals against Asmat Al Sweis were scored by Salim bin Ashour while Ahmad Ajab was on target for Mohammed Ibrahim’s side against El Terasanah. Abdel Aziz Al Mashaan netted their consolation goal against Petrojet.
Abdullah Suleiman, Hamad Al Enazi and Musaed Nada scored a goal apiece for Al Qadsia against Al Tadamoun.
Al Qadsia will take part in the Gulf Champions League to be held in Doha from August 16 to 24 before taking on Urawa at home in the first leg on September 17.
In the Gulf Champions League Al Qadsia were drawn with Al Nasr (Saudi Arabia), Al Nahda (Oman), Muharraq (Bahrain) and Al Khor (Qatar).
