| Project Isfahan ahead of the game |

| Isfahan FA officials are organising an AFC coaching course under the Vision Iran banner. |
Isfahan / Iran : Project Isfahan is two years ahead of schedule in some aspects of its Vision Iran programme, according to AFC official Dr Shamil Kamil.
During a visit to the Iranian province, Dr Kamil, head of Vision Asia’s grassroots and youth football division, said he was delighted with the progress made.
“Project Isfahan has done much more that we had expected,” said Dr Kamil. “The project has really moved forward and has reached goals that were only expected to be reached in two years time.”
Dr Kamil was accompanied by Ali Targholizade, of the AFC’s Education Department. Isfahan FA (IFA) officials were able to update them on the progress of under-11, under-12 and under-13 school leagues as well as referee and coaching courses.
The Ministry of Education is also working closely with IFA with under-11 football and courses to educate physical education teachers in regional schools.
Targholizade is hoping that the Isfahan Project can one day encompass Futsal because he believes there is plenty of potential for five-a-side football in the region.
