QUEENSLAND – AFC Champions League quarter-finalists missed the chance to go top of the 2008/09 A-League standings after being held to a 1-1 draw by Queensland roar on Sunday.
The Reds took an early lead thanks to an eighth minute penalty from skipper Travis Dodd but an equaliser two minutes into the second-half from Scottish midfielder Charlie Miller meant that Aurelio Vidmar’s men had to settle for a point that put them level on four with Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC.
Adelaide United will face Kashima Antlers in the quarter-finals of this year’s AFC Champions League, with the first-leg taking place on September 17 in Japan.
