KUALA LUMPUR: AFC recently launched an online voting mechanism ‘Vote for Your MVP’ which allows fans to select their player of choice and positively influence the AFC Player of the Year 2008 nominations.

Accessible at http://www.the-afc.com/eng/mvp/index.jsp.html, fans can pick the player they think made an impact on the outcome of a match and vote for him as their Most Valuable Player. The amount of votes polled by each MVP counts in the crowning of Asia’s best player this year.

The voting applies only to the AFC Cup, AFC Champions League and the ongoing 2010 FIFA World Cup (Final Round) qualifying.

This is the first time fans have a mechanism by which they can participate actively and ensure that their player choice stands a solid chance in the AFC Player of the Year stakes.
