RIYADH: Al Wahda, Al Ittihad and Al Shabab confirmed their positions in the top four of the Saudi League after the 20th round recently and qualified for the step-ladder final.

With two more rounds left in the regular league, defending champions Al Shabab are set to finish fourth after a massive 5-1 defeat of Al Ahli while Al Ittihad firmed up their third place finish with a narrow 3-2 win over Al Ettifaq.

Al Wahda drubbed Al Taei 4-1 to cement second spot behind regular league leaders Al Hilal.

With two more rounds left in the regular league, there is still chance for movement in the top four though Al Hilal’s position at the apex is unthreatened. Both Al Ittihad and Al Shabab will be eyeing to overtake Al Wahda in the remaining rounds.
