MANAMA - Jordan claimed their first victory under new coach Nelo Vingada with a 3-1 win over Bahrain in an international friendly in Manama.

The Portuguese coach saw his side take the lead in the 23rd minute as Abdullah Deeb fired home.

Deeb doubled his tally 10 minutes into the second half but Ibrahim Al Moqla pulled one back for the hosts just three minutes later.

Jordan secured the win when Mohanad Maharmeh hit a third in the second minute of stoppage time.

The match was preparation for the World Cup qualifiers in October, when Jordan take on Kyrgyzstan and Bahrain meet Malaysia.
