RIYADH: Al Ahli held on for a thrilling 2-1 victory over former Asian club champions Al Ittihad in the Saudi Crown Prince Cup final recently, a match which saw all three goals scored in the dying minutes.

Tayseer Al Jassem (80) and Malik Moad (87) were on target for Al Ahli who had to endure a nervous time when Al Hassane Keita reduced the deficit for Al Ittihad two minutes before the end.

Al Ahli took an easy route to the semifinals after beating last year’s champions Al Hilal 3-1 while Al Ittihad beat Al Ettifaq 4-2.
