DOHA: Q-League champions Al Sadd stayed firmly on course for a grand treble after reaching the semifinals of the Qatar Emir’s Cup recently.

With the league title and Crown Prince Cup already resting in their trophy cabinet, Al Sadd face Al Gharafa in the last four of the prestigious Emir’s Cup which was won by Al Rayyan last year.

Al Khor face Al Arabi in the other semifinal which also takes place on May 20.

In the quarterfinals, Al Sadd thrashed Qatar Sports Club 4-1 with Carlos Tenerio hitting a brace, Al Khor edged out Umm Salal 1-0, Al Gharafa drubbed Al Wakrah 3-0 and Al Arabi scraped past Al Rayyan 5-4 on penalties after normal period ended 2-2.
