GUIYANG, China: China Olympic team defeated their Uruguayan counterparts 2-1 in a friendly match at the Guiyang Sports Centre here on Wednesday. Cui Peng opened China’s account in the 19th minute and Zhu Ting doubled the advantage in the 54th minute. Uruguay pulled one back through substitute Luis in the dying moments of the game. China coach Ratomir Dujkovic said: “I am satisfied with my team’s performance. Players followed our strategy but the goal we conceded shows that we have a lot to improve.” Uruguay coach Gustavo praised the hosts saying, “It was a tough match and I was impressed by China’s performance. Their performance and tactical level was much better than us.” China Olympic team will fly to Toulon, France, in two weeks time for the Toulon Cup, where they will face Portugal on June 2, the Netherlands on June 4 and Ghana on June 6.
