BEIJING: Changchun Yatai regained top spot in the China Super League after defeating Shanghai Shenhua 4-1 in the 12th round recently.

Elvis Scott fired three goals to put Changhchun in control by the interval. Uruguayan striker Diego Alonso reduced the deficit for Shenhua but Scott scored another goal to put the result beyond a shred of doubt.

Dalian Shide beat Shandong Luneng 3-2 to move into second after Zhao Xuri scored the winner.

Bejing Guo'an were held 1-1 by bottom-placed Xi'an Chanba while Wuhan Guanggu ran out 1-0 winners over Qingdao Zhongneng.

Shenyang Ginde climbed out of the drop zone with a 1-0 away win at newly promoted Henan Jianye while Liaoning edged Shenzhen Kingway 2-1.
