BEIJING: China and Singapore became the first teams recently to qualify for the finals of the AFC U-16 Championship which will be held next year.
China topped the Group E qualifying with 12 points after winning all four games against Singapore (2-1), Guam (9-0), Mongolia (5-0) and Macau (12-0). The Chinese scored 28 goals while conceding just one in four games. Singapore finished second with nine points and also qualified. Japan are the defending Asian U-16 champions.
