The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body for football in Asia. Founded in 1954, AFC is based in Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA. The Confederation's main task is the organization of football competitions across Asia, such as the prestigous Asian Cup and the AFC Champions League. DEVELOPMENT OFFICER FOR FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATION, CLUBS AND COMPETITIONS, VISION CHINA DESK (KUALA LUMPUR, HQ)
Vision China is AFC’s foremost football development programme in China, implemented in partnership with the Chinese Football Association (CFA). Vision China is a tailor-made development mechanism for China’s football. Football administration and governance, clubs and competitions, grassroots and youth football development, coaching and referees development are the core elements of Vision China. Currently, Vision China is working in the cities of Qingdao, Wuhan, Nanjing, Chengdu and Zibo. Vision China is expected to rapidly expand to other cities of China. Due to the expansion of the project, AFC has established a Vision China Desk and is now recruiting five additional staff dedicated to work on Vision China.
Responsibilities:
• To conduct assessment visits where and whenever it is required and to develop strategic Development Plans for the project cities of Vision China.
• To oversee and manage the implementation of the tasks in the designated areas of these Strategic Development Plans
• To conduct, coordinate or manage the delivery of education courses/workshops as planned in Strategic Development Plans
• To ensure establishment of and managing good working relationship between AFC and CFA/Project Cities
• To do necessary research on the cities’ projects and report the latest development in the designated areas
• To assist the Vision China Project Director in ensuring that that required internal and external resources are procured to implement the programmes
• Other tasks as directed.
Requirements:

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Standard-Mandarin of Chinese

• To provide internal secretarial support to Vision China Desk, including but not limited to handling correspondence, assisting with reports, presentations and other documents drafting, arranging meetings and taking meeting minutes, filing documents, answering phone calls etc
• To assist Vision China Project Director with project management, including but not limited to managing work records, project database and statistics, updating project activity reports, organising project calendars, engineering project budgets, etc
• To assist with arrangements of Vision China events, including but not limited to conferences, workshops, visits, etc
• To manage routine and detail work for Vision China Project Director
• To support external coordination with relevant officials from Chinese Football Association, project city football associations and other partners
• To liaison with members of staff in other departments of AFC in the areas relating to Vision China
• Other administrative and secretarial tasks as required
