Seoul: Korea Republic coach Uli Stielike has announced his final 23 man squad that will head Down Under for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup in January.
The Koreans will be looking to end a 55 year drought having last won Asia's premier football tournament in 1960.
Stielike's side features a host of familiar faces including German-based stars Son Heung-min, Koo Ja-cheol, Kim Jin-su and Park Joo-ho, along with Ki Sung-yueng who has continued to impress in the English Premier League this season.
The one surprise was the inclusion of Sangju Sangmu's Lee Jeong-hyeop who is the only player in the side to not have any international experience heading into the tournament.
Stielike will have one last chance to run his eyes over his squad in a friendly match against Saudi Arabia onJanuary 4.
They will then face Oman, Kuwait and host nation Australia in what will be a tightly contested Group A.
