Abu Dhabi: A Players Media Training Workshop was conducted in three United Arab Emirates cities - Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah - which concluded on Monday.
As the world becomes more integrated through media and social networks, it is important for professional football players to adapt and be able to handle media-related situations. The three-day course organised by the UAE Pro League Committee (PLC), in collaboration with the AFC League Development Programme and local sports councils, aimed to educate the players on dealing with the media.
The PLC Acting CEO Waleed Al Hosani, who gave the opening speech in Abu Dhabi, emphasised on the committee’s decision to train the UAE Pro League players in handling the media as part of efforts to improve various aspects of football in line with the process of professionalisation.
