Da Costa and Jaya shine as Indonesia beat Myanmar
Cikarang: Three first half goals laid the foundation for Indonesia’s convincing 3-0 win over Myanmar in an international friendly at the Wibawa Mukti Stadium on Wednesday, as preparation for the upcoming 2018 AFF Cup.
The Garudas began the match on the front foot, testing Myanmar goalkeeper Sann Set Naing in the opening minutes.
Indonesia eventually broke through the Myanmar defence in the 19th minute when Febri Hariyadi sent in a cross into the box and Alberto Goncalves da Costa rose highest to head the ball home.

Backed by rousing support in the stands, Indonesia struck again in the 26th minute when da Costa turned provider with a slick back-heel pass to Irfan Jaya, who made no mistake with a crackling strike.
Five minutes before the break, da Costa threatened on the left flank as he sprinted past the Myanmar defenders before letting loose a shot which struck the left-post. The rebound landed kindly for a surging Jaya, and his right-footed effort found the back of the net.
Myanmar returned in the second half more composed and reacted quicker to Indonesia’s runs in the final third, but while they had a few close attempts on goal, they lacked the finishing touch.
On Tuesday, Indonesia will host Hong Kong in another friendly at the Wibawa Mukti Stadium.
Meanwhile, AFC Asian Cup 2019 UAE-bound Lebanon played to a goalless draw with Andorra.
