Hiroshima: Thailand national team and Muang Thong United FC forward Teerasil Dangda has joined J.League outfit Sanfrecce Hiroshima FC on a one-year loan deal, making him the second Thai player after Chanathip Songkrasin to play in the J1 League.

Under a contract which was agreed upon on Tuesday by Muang Thong and Sanfrecce, Teerasil will be loaned for a year, with Sanfrecce having the option to buy the player.

He will join Songkrasin, who plays for Consadole Sapporo, and will arrive in Japan for a medical on February 1.

The forward, who has scored 116 goals in 257 appearances for Muang Thong, was instrumental in helping them win the Thai League Cup in November, beating Chiangrai United 2-0.

The trophy was a consolation following a disappointing defence of the Thai League which saw Burinam United winning the title.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima won the J-League title in 2012, 2013 and 2015 and finished third in the FIFA Club World Cup 2015.
