Trainees set for AFC Referee Academy Introductory Module IV
Kuala Lumpur: 37 elite referees are just one step away from progressing to the next stage as the participants of the AFC Referee Academy Introductory batch 2017 begin Module IV at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday.
The last module of the introductory level will serve to evaluate the referees’ knowledge gathered from previous courses, the remote activities and the active coaching from the Academy’s educators.
Group 1, comprising 19 participants will undergo their programme on September 8-12, while 18 participants from Group 2 will attend on September 12-18.
During the programme, the referees will demonstrate their skills in the various Laws of the Game quizzes, English language and match incidents tests, as well as additional technical and fitness assessments.
They will be provided with feedback on their remote assignments, and participate in two more sessions on psychological matters.
The successful candidates will progress to the intermediate stage that comprises a two-year period, divided into eight modules.
The first module of the intermediate level will take place in Kuala Lumpur in December 2018.
The application and selection process of the 2018 batch is currently ongoing, and the new students will attend the Academy for the first time in November 2018.
