Tashkent: AFC Champions League quarter-finalists Lokomotiv secured a hard-fought 0-0 draw with table-topping Bunyodkor as the duo continued their Uzbekistan Professional Football League title tussle.
The stalemate sees Lokomotiv remain in second place and one point behind leaders Bunyodkor, although they have played one game less than the five-time champions of Uzbekistan. Both teams have yet to be beaten in the league this season.
Andrey Miklyaev’s charges will resume their AFC Champions League quarter-final campaign on August 23 when they travel to the United Arab Emirates to play Al Ain, before hosting the return leg in Tashkent on September 13.
Lokomotiv reached the last eight of the AFC Champions League for the first time after goals from Islom Tukhtakhujaev and Sherzod Fayziev helped secure a 2-1 victory over Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in the last 16.
