Syauqi demands Indonesia stay grounded

Jakarta: Syauqi Saud understands clearly the dangers of getting carried away after just one result and he is hopeful that Indonesia will keep their focus after a fantastic start to their AFC Futsal Asian Cup Indonesia 2026™ Group A campaign.

Tuesday’s 5-0 win against Korea Republic highlighted Indonesia’s impressive array of attacking talent, with Syauqi playing a big part despite not getting on the scoresheet.

Indonesia name Herdman as head coach

Jakarta: Former Canada coach John Herdman has been named the new head coach of Indonesia, the PSSI confirmed on Saturday.
 

The 50-year-old Englishman previously led Canada’s women’s team to the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in 2012 and 2016 before qualifying the country’s men’s team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, their first appearance at the finals in 36 years.
