#AFCU17 - Group B: Japan 3-1 Qatar

Jeddah: Japan came from behind to overcome Qatar 3-1 in their opening AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Group B tie at the King Abdullah Sports City Pitch C Future on Tuesday.

The four-time winners will next look to make it two wins in a row when they take on two-time champions China PR on Saturday while Qatar will meet Indonesia on the same day.

Suzhou: Japan defeated a spirited India 3-0 to book their AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026™ quarter-final spot on Tuesday.

The four-time champions found their scoring boots in the second half at the Suzhou Taihu Football Sports Centre Pitch 4 to make it two wins out of two to advance from Group B with a match to spare as India suffered a second successive defeat.

Japan face Australia next while India will meet Lebanon, with the latter three sides all still in the running to advance.
