Uzbekistan 2027 hopefuls discover qualification path

Kuala Lumpur: Teams aiming to vie for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027™ title discovered their Qualifiers challenge following the Draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 35 teams were divided into seven groups of five to contest a single round-robin centralised league for the qualifying rounds that run from November 8 to 20, 2026.

The seven group winners will join the nine AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026 who have automatically qualified - Australia, China PR, Japan (defending champions), Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam - in the Finals.

Pathum Thani: S’Amuser FC of Timor Leste ended their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage in style after cruising 3-0 past Mongolia’s  Kharaatsai FC on Sunday.

S’Amuser finished third in the Group D standings with three points with Kharaatsai rooted at the bottom.

The Thailand club face tournament newcomers 4.25 SC of DPR Korea to decide the group winners on Sunday, which will earn a ticket to the Group Stage.

Pathum Thani: 4.25 SC cruised to a 13-0 win over Kharaatsai FC of Mongolia in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage Group D tie on Monday.

Jong Pom Hui starred with four goals to give the DPR Korea side the perfect start and they will look to maintain their momentum against S’amuser FC of Timor Leste on Thursday, while Kharaatsai face College Of Asian Scholars of Thailand.

Ulaanbaatar: Chinese Taipei’s Hang Yuan advanced to the group stage of the AFC Challenge League 2026/27™ with a 2-1 win over hosts FC Ulaanbaatar in the tournament’s preliminary rounds on Tuesday.

Naoki Kaneko scored 16 minutes from time to secure Hang Yuan’s place in the draw for the next phase as the club confirmed their appearance in the group phase of continental competition for the first time since 2019.

Ulaanbaatar: Tainan City booked their place in the group stage draw for the AFC Challenge League™ 2026/27 on Tuesday as the side from Chinese Taipei defeated Mongolia’s Central Stallions 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out following a 2-2 draw in Ulaanbaatar.

Ryota Fukuhara’s miss for Central Stallions from the penalty spot means the five-times Chinese Taipei champions will be playing in the group phase of the continental tournament for the third season in a row.

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™ Qualifiers are set to be a scintillating affair following the Official Draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

To be staged between August 25 and September 6, 2026 in a centralised league system, these Qualifiers will feature the implementation of a new format as part of key reforms to the AFC’s youth competitions that were ratified earlier this year.

Designed to ensure more meaningful matches and opportunities for teams to compete against opponents of similar technical competency, a two-phase system featuring a promotion and relegation mechanism has been introduced.

Chonburi: Thailand secured the Qualifiers Group F top spot after beating Kuwait 3-0 to seal their place at the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ on Sunday.

Thailand, Turkmenistan and Kuwait all finished on nine points but the Southeast Asian side advanced to the Finals on superior head-to-head goal difference.
