Qualifiers - Group G: Syria 2-2 Myanmar; Oman 4-0 Afghanistan

Yangon: Myanmar held off a late fightback from Syria to advance to the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ following a 2-2 stalemate in their concluding  Qualifiers Group G tie on Sunday.

Myanmar finished with 10 points, one ahead of Oman with Syria a further two adrift to seal a return to the Finals for the first time since 2006.

Qualifiers - Group G: Myanmar 2-0 Oman; Afghanistan 2-0 Nepal

Yangon: Myanmar assumed control in Group G of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers after defeating Oman 2-0 at Thuwunna Stadium on Friday.

The win sees Myanmar open a three-point gap on Oman as the Southeast Asian side seek a return to the Finals for the first time since 2006.

In the other match, Afghanistan secured a 2-0 win against Nepal to also move up to six points, three adrift of Myanmar.

Yangon: Oman registered their second win after cruising 5-0 past Nepal  in their AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers Group G fixture on Wednesday.

Syria got back to winning ways, registering a 3-1 victory over Afghanistan.

Qualifiers - Group G: Myanmar 3-1 Afghanistan; Nepal 2-4 Syria

Yangon: Myanmar led from start to finish to clinch a 3-1 victory over Afghanistan in their AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Group G opener on Saturday.

Syria also enjoyed a winning start, overcoming a spirited Nepal to secure a 4-2 victory.

Contenders discover Indonesia 2026 road to glory

Jakarta: The AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2026 has all the ingredients to be a sizzling affair following the Official Draw in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The 16 teams were divided into four groups during the draw held at the MNC Conference Hall with the top two teams from each to advance to the quarter-finals.

Kuala Lumpur: The stage is set for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2026 following the conclusion of Group D of the Qualifiers on Wednesday.

Iraq emerged as the top team in Group D following a 2-1 defeat of Saudi Arabia, completing their campaign with a perfect record of three victories.

There was joy for Saudi Arabia as they advanced as one of the best seven runners-up.

Anak: The cast for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2026 will be finalised over the coming days with Group D of the Qualifiers to be contested in Anak, Saudi Arabia between October 18 and 22.

Seven teams - the respective group winners - confirmed their tickets to the Finals in September, with the seven best second-placed sides to also join hosts Indonesia at the continental showpiece.

Ardiyah: Afghanistan and Pakistan played out a 1-1 stalemate in their AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Qualifiers Final Round Group E clash at the Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah Stadium on Tuesday.

Yangon: Defending champions Japan advanced to the AFC U23 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2026, topping Group B of the Qualifiers with a 6-1 win against Kuwait on Tuesday.

Stung by an early Kuwait goal, Japan turned on the power to advance to the Finals in resounding fashion.

Afghanistan, meanwhile, finished third after claiming a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Myanmar.
