Div 2: Cambodia, Hong Kong, China advance to final

Hong Kong: Hong Kong, China will take on Cambodia in the FIFA ASEAN Challenge Cup final on Saturday following the completion of the group stage on Wednesday.

Hong Kong, China defeated Brunei Darussalam 2-0 to top Group A on maximum points while Cambodia shared a 2-2 draw with Timor-Leste which enabled them to win Group B with four points.

Kuala Lumpur: The concluding day of the Asian Games 2026 Group Stage for women’s football on Monday saw eight sides book their berths in the quarter-finals.

Japan, Chinese Taipei, DPR Korea, Korea Republic, China PR, Uzbekistan, Philippines and Vietnam all advanced to the last eight stage.

DPR Korea will face Chinese Taipei in the quarter-finals, Japan play the Philippines, China PR take on Vietnam while Korea Republic will battle it out with Uzbekistan with the matches to be played on Friday and Saturday.

Kuala Lumpur: Japan and Thailand continued to impress at the Asian Games 2026, registering emphatic wins in Group A of the men’s football tournament on Sunday to confirm their places in the quarter-finals.

Thailand powered to a 5-1 win over Hong Kong, China, while Japan were equally dominant, cruising 7-0 past Kyrgyz Republic.

In Group B, Islamic Republic of Iran and China PR played to a goalless draw to move onto four points each.

Hong Kong: Ten-man Kitchee SC produced a resilient defensive display to hold Gangwon FC to a 0-0 draw in their AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ Group H tie on Thursday.

Kitchee played the final 20 minutes with 10 men after captain Ruslan Mingazow was shown a second yellow card for handling the ball inside the box.

Adelaide: Adelaide United made a winning start to Group F of the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ on Thursday as Airton Andrioli’s side handed Hong Kong Premier League outfit Tai Po a 3-0 defeat at Hindmarsh Stadium.

Ethan Alagich gave Adelaide Untied a 19th minute lead before goals from Juan Muniz and Craig Goodwin in the 48th and 75th minutes respectively confirmed the win for the A-League outfit.
