Kuala Lumpur: Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC maintained their narrow advantage in Cambodia while Auckland FC extended their lead in Australia.

In Thailand, Buriram United held firm at the top with a crucial victory, Manila Digger continued their strong form in the Philippines while the Singapore Cup semi-finalists were confirmed.

#WAC2026 Qualifiers draw finalised

Kuala Lumpur: Teams hoping to earn passage discovered their opponents following the conclusion of the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026™ Qualifiers draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 34 sides were drawn into six groups of four teams and two groups of five, with the Qualifiers to be hosted by Cambodia, Indonesia, Jordan, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

The eight group winners will join defending champions China PR, Korea Republic and Japan in the Finals, scheduled to be staged across three host cities from March 1 to 26, 2026.

Group B: Vietnam strike late to hold Philippines; Myanmar edge Laos to keep hopes alive

Manila: Doan Ngoc Tan scored in the seventh minute of time added on as Vietnam salvaged a 1-1 draw in their 2024 ASEAN Championship Group B tie against the Philippines at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Wednesday. 

The result took Vietnam - on seven points - within touching distance of the semi-finals as they only need to avoid defeat against Myanmar - who defeated Laos 3-2 - on Saturday to confirm their berth.

Philippines - on three points - still have a chance but they have to beat Indonesia and hope Myanmar lose to Vietnam.

Group B: Vietnam beat Indonesia to take control; Laos, Philippines share points

Viet Tri: Vietnam edged Indonesia 1-0 on Sunday to take a firm grip on Group B of the ASEAN Championship 2024.

Laos and Philippines settled for a 1-1 draw in the other match played on Sunday.
