Kuala Lumpur: Japan earned their second win over Canada in four days, with Mina Tanaka’s first half strike giving them a 1-0 win at Nagasaki Stadium on Tuesday.

Australia, meanwhile, also defeated New Zealand for a second time, winning 2-0.

Chongqing: China PR confirmed their AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ ticket with a 4-0 win against Bangladesh on Sunday.

The victory meant China PR finished with a perfect 15 points, with Bangladesh three adrift.

Bahrain and Timor-Leste, meanwhile, completed their campaigns with victories against Brunei Darussalam and Sri Lanka respectively.

Kuala Lumpur: Australia and Japan produced impressive performances in victories against New Zealand and Canada as they continued their preparations for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™.

Australia defeated New Zealand 5-0 on Friday while Japan cruised 3-0 past Canada on Saturday.

Korea Republic were held by Wales while Bangladesh, who will be making their AFC Women’s Asian Cup debut, suffered defeat against Malaysia.

Chongqing: Bangladesh and China PR are set for a blockbuster final day clash after both registered their fourth consecutive wins in Group A of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers on Friday.

Bangladesh defeated Bahrain 2-1 while China PR strolled to an 8-0 win against Sri Lanka.

Timor-Leste, meanwhile, registered their first points with a 2-0 defeat of Brunei Darussalam.

Dhaka: Bangladesh defeated India 1-0 to secure their first AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Qualifiers Final Round Group C win at the National Stadium Dhaka on Tuesday.

With both sides already eliminated, the result moved Bangladesh to five points while India anchor the table on two.

IR Iran held; Thailand triumphant

Kuala Lumpur: Islamic Republic of Iran and Cape Verde played to a goalless stalemate in an international friendly played on Thursday as both teams started preparations towards the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Iran are one of eight Asian teams who have already secured their spot in the global showpiece that will be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States while Cape Verde who are first-time qualifiers.

With neither side able to find the breakthrough in regulation time, the match went to penalties with Mehdi Taremi’s strike ensuring Iran won 5-4.

Bangkok: The 12 contenders aiming to lift the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ Thailand 2026 crown learnt their Group Stage opponents following the Official Draw in Bangkok on Monday.

The teams were divided into three groups for the tournament which will take place between April 1 and 18, 2026.

Sulaibikhat: Kuwait SC cruised into the AFC Challenge League™ 2025/26 quarter-finals with a 2-0 win against Bangladesh’s Bashundhara Kings in their Group B tie on Friday.

The victory meant Kuwait SC finished top with seven points, with Lebanon’s Al Ansar FC also advancing from the group on the best runners-up ticket.

Kuwait SC will play Group A winners Al Shabab Club of Oman in the quarter-finals while Al Ansar will face off against Kyrgyz Republic's FC Muras United, who topped Group C.
