Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FA of Malaysia made it two wins out of two after edging Rajshahi Stars FC 2-1 in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage tie on Monday.

Sabah will play India’s East Bengal, who strolled 12-0 past Guam’s Rovers FC in the earlier match, on Sunday for top spot in Group A, with Rajshahi Stars hoping to get points on the board when they meet Rovers.

Kota Kinabalu: East Bengal FC hardly put a foot wrong as they began their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage in style with a 4-0 win against Rajshahi Stars FC on Monday.

Anthony Andrew’s side led from start to finish in a dominant victory and they will look to build on their momentum against Guam’s Rovers FC on Thursday while Rajhashi will have the opportunity to bounce back against Sabah FA.

Amman: Al Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo SC were made to work hard before edging Bangladesh Police FC 1-0 on Tuesday to confirm their place in the AFC Challenge League 2026/27™ Group Stage.

The Syrian side had Jordan Rodrigues’ first half strike to thank and they now await the draw on August 20 to learn their next challengers.

Dhaka: Fortis FC of Bangladesh secured their AFC Challenge League 2026/27™ Group Stage berth after defeating Kyrgyz Republic’s Muras United 1-0 at the Bashundhara Kings Arena on Tuesday.

Fortis broke the deadlock after a goalless first half with Mohammad Ibrahim scoring off a wonderful layoff from Pa Omar Babou to seal the win.

#U17WAC - Stage set for China 2027 Qualifiers

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ China 2027 is all set for take off following the conclusion of the Qualifiers Draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 30 teams - two more than the previous record of 28 from the 2019 Qualifiers - were divided into eight groups - six of four and two of three - to contest a single round-robin centralised league from October 5 to 11.

Each group winner will advance to the Finals, joining the quartet of teams that have qualified directly as the top four finishers from the 2026 campaign: defending champions DPR Korea, runners-up Japan, and semi-finalists Australia and China PR.
