West Asia Wrap: Al Nassr stumble; Al Sadd cruise

Doha: Al Nassr Club lost top spot in the Saudi Pro League to Al Hilal SFC following a 2-1 defeat to Al Ittihad Club on Saturday.

Al Sadd SC's winning start continued in Qatar while Al Jazira and Al Ain stayed perfect in the United Arab Emirates.

Doha: Saudi Arabia topped Group E to qualify for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™ after defeating Qatar 1-0 on Sunday.

With three wins in the bag, the three-time champions finished five points ahead of Oman, who fought back to hold Hong Kong, China to a 1-1 draw to take one of the best runners-up qualification spots.

Doha: Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season as champions Al Nassr Club cruised to a 4-0 win against Al Riyadh in their Saudi Pro League 2026/27 tie.
